Fancy glowing and LED-illuminated stuff has been made prior to this TFL's counterpart as well, ... but I really like 'Braking Effect' feature in it.

I lowered the board one notch because I wanted to try it. It feels so good, so stable. The fender doesn't fit now but I don't think I can go back. 😭

Thanks for addition, @Lia! I had totally forgotten XR have this extra pin & black wire on main connector pinout, although I now recognised this valuable post by @Lemur from back then.

@babyjigs 3 checks I would definitely do are:

Connect to it with the app and see what battery percentage it's currently at. Anything between 40% and 60% is likely fine but not a guarantee. If it's fully charged or empty I'd be a little concerned that it's toast.

Next check is see if you can connect it to the OWCE app and see if the cells are within 0.1-0.2 volts of each other. Anything else might indicate a bad cell.

If you're able to take it for a test spin that would be good but won't tell you much other than it at least works.

It might be worth asking when he last used it and what percentage he left it at. Being an RC enthusiast he probably left it at a good level but worth checking as I've had batteries from "enthusiasts" that left the things at full for months 💀

@bulletxtime That's balanced enough. There is a little cell degradation since they should peak at 4.2 but that's expected for an old used battery so I'd say that's good to ride! :)

@theadman -- That was on a Onewheel Plus. Crashed at 25; no crash at 24.6 mph. All that summer I AVERAGED over 20 mph. Lately, I barely edge into the twenties.

@lia You don't even have to file a flat on the threaded part, screws in, won't tighten, but the nut secures it.

@lemur I'm surprised it's keyed since the plug is hard mounted to the PCB. Simple fix like you said.

Good idea limiting the current. Don't want them to burn up too soon D: I was tempted to try making some better GT headlights but since the LN2 XR based ones haven't even sold out yet I don't think I can justify it. Stock seems plenty anyway on a GT.

I've been using Seeeduino's and those are pretty fun yet tiny if you ever want to experiment with some other microcontrollers.

@aeroguero It's by no means perfect and it only shows public data but FM do have the ride map available with some data.

we are going to use something called Bullet and each article/page is going to be it's own google document

It requires some weird HTML stuff but we're gonna give it a go

We also found out that Notion may give you unlimited pages if you only use one account to edit it (I think)

Auh! My lanky young man, Onewheel neighbor Matthew is moving! He got a desirable job in Michigan. I saw his mom today, Christmas Day, on the Greenway, walking his dog Graham Cracker, and we talked a bit. She expects (hopes) he will be back here in a year, but he couldn't pass up this opportunity.

Cheryl had told me once that she wanted to try Matthew's Onewheel... Matthew would not let her for fear she might get hurt. Maybe I could invite her to pad up and learn on one of mine while he is gone.

And Graham Cracker? It's still up-in-the-air uncertain whether the well-tempered and friendly-four-year-old dog goes out-of-state with Matthew, or stays snug at home with Matthew's mom, Cheryl.
