@reelwons I don't know much about batteries, but someone in the Vescify discord made this sheet that goes over the different batteries, but also lets you configure a custom battery with different cell types in different series and parralell configs

      https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EPqBROovzQ03iRKpK6Xfy0T7oEG6ZpiBP0-BecQBbUA/edit

I'd use this as a resource, but if you want, I can also send you the vescify discord link and you could ask the kind people there!

@lia Ah so it would be like a future proof build if a 24s battery was to be used further down the line. Thanks!

@reelwons Ouch that does sound like a bad pack. Lemur's suggestion is probably the best one as the replacement pack will still be good for a VESC build if you go down that route later.

It may be possible for it to be restored with replacement cells but you would need someone capable of dismantling the welds and then welding in new cells. Afterwards the board would recalibrating as disconnecting the battery from the BMS causes an error that disable the board till cleared.

Just to re-iterate Lemur's point this only works on firmware versions prior to haptic buzz.
