    • Dead Battery GT

Sorry if this is posted the wrong thread, but 1600 miles in and my battery is dead. It will cost me about £565 to replace the battery but I'd much rather have a VESC board at this point.

What are my options for VESCing a GT with a dead battery? I know tyre options are limited somewhat due to the 6.5" hub, but is there anything worth considering if going down this road?

    • Tronic 250R Compatibility

Would the Tronic250 controller be compatible with a 20s2p battery? If so, are there any advantages to using this instead of a little FOCer 3.0?

    • RE: Dead Battery GT

@lia I believe one or more cells are dead. I left on 75% charge and 20 minutes into riding the battery died while I was doing 18/19mph. I bailed, checked the app and it showed 1%.

Prior to this happening it was balance charging for about 4 days.

Similar thing happened about a month ago also.

@lia Ah so it would be like a future proof build if a 24s battery was to be used further down the line. Thanks!

    • Vescing a GT - P42 vs P45 cells

As the title suggests, I've decided to VESC my GT. I'm going with an 18s2p torque pack but I'm face with 2 options, P42A cells or P45B.

One is significantly more expensive than the other. On paper, the P45 cells have slightly more capacity and also run slightly cooler.

But how does this translate to riding performance? Will a P45cell battery get a higher top speed? more torque? Range?

There has to be some reason to justify the expense. Can anyone advise please?

      Thanks
