My onewheel plus started showing 4.2 at full charge instead of 3.6 for the lifepo on only one cell. This gave me some reassurance that the BMS is just false reporting after a certain voltage because i notice it does fine all the way till around 3.6 than cell group 1 just skyrockets to the high 4s which would most likely have exploded the battery several times over if it were true as ive only just noticed and have been charging it to 58.4v for years. Im not as skilled as you so im just gonna leave it as is, overcharge warning has only shut the board off on me one time and never while riding, only when i came to a full stop after running downhill. @jordan5100 -- Hi. Simple things first: My guess is you've already ruled out fender rubs or nubs under the fender; made sure the bolts holding the wheel to the rails are torqued evenly each/both sides; and checked for tyre irregularities.

Personally, not being sure of myself opening up the motor, if it was mine I'd probably trade out the whole motor for another. If you are adventuresome -- you could part the stator and hub, and you could probably find a stator (or hub) to remedy the problem. Or, once open, the source of the noise might then be clear, and a solution will work its way into your head (and hands).

Again, though, I'm more of a Onewheel rider than a technician of Onewheel insides, and to me, to minimize board down time I'd swap out motors for one kept in my reserve jumble of parts for just this kind of situation.

If you need someone to take a look at this Justin over at https://www.fixmypev.com/ has dealt with some of these in the past and offers repair so in the worst case he should be able to perform a repair.

@pigeon Just checked the returns page for them. Must have been under 30 days for my friend as they'll take it back and handle it then. Otherwise it's back to the company :/

Stoke Solutions is the only one I'm aware of but I've heard mixed reviews as of late. Onewheel are selling parts now though so give them a poke as they may be able to diagnose and ship out a replacement part under warranty.

If all else fails if you're near Towcester I could take a look.

count the flashes, google that error code number, and that will tell you roughly how boned you are.

@loaffette i got the email the other day about their Pint batteries. Mine are still doing fine, but i admit i was tempted to get one just as a backup....

Thanks I will give OWCE a go. If not possible, i may open her up and see if i can get cell voltages. I got it 2nd hand. FM says to mail it in for an RMA after looking at the diagnostics info before and after a 12hr charge (I suspect a cell was out of balance, hence why they instructed me to charge for 12 hr) I asked, but they did not say if a battery replacement would be needed (I rather do myself and upgrade).

Happend to me too. Ask for a picture of the Diagnosis in the Onewheel app. The name probably says ow999999. Mine worked still fine after that bug except a few things. Stuff like day streak or total miles wouldn’t update after that.

@onewheelme Could you share a few pics of the charge port and the charger connector?

Also when it turns on are you able to connect with the app and see any errors?

I was hoping I would see something that was obvious but it looked pristine once I got the cover off. The good news is I got it to work… The bad news is… I don't know how. I started pushing down on things just to see if anything was loose and then all of a sudden the light comes on. A couple minutes later I was doing something and the light went off and then I pushed down again and the light came back on. so I went ahead and connected everything back together and the light stayed on and I was able to ride it but now I'm worried it's going to shut off. 😬😬😬 I can't trust it to ride it rn because I can only assume I would nosedive."

@babyjigs 3 checks I would definitely do are:

Connect to it with the app and see what battery percentage it's currently at. Anything between 40% and 60% is likely fine but not a guarantee. If it's fully charged or empty I'd be a little concerned that it's toast.

Next check is see if you can connect it to the OWCE app and see if the cells are within 0.1-0.2 volts of each other. Anything else might indicate a bad cell.

If you're able to take it for a test spin that would be good but won't tell you much other than it at least works.

It might be worth asking when he last used it and what percentage he left it at. Being an RC enthusiast he probably left it at a good level but worth checking as I've had batteries from "enthusiasts" that left the things at full for months 💀
