@blkdout -- Yes, I hold the Outbound Detour kind of like a flashlight, except I hold it comfortably by the ring of the handlebar mount. This morning I was out on the Greenway in the cloud-covered, extra pitch dark before daybreak. Of course, I have been meaning to be up that early and out for two weeks now, and finally did it. The Outbound Detour shines very much like a car's headlight, casting well ahead from just ahead of the board's nose all the way out where I need it at 20 mph, as well as off to the sides. On the trail in the woods I saw three single whitetail deer, and interesting small flocks of birds low in the Greenway corridor, their wings flashing in the light.

I'm afraid much of it is that people don't realize or plain forget the ads they see are personalized. Some believe everyone sees what they see and that's just not the case.

Most of my advertising comes from YouTube but I'm well aware it's bubble advertising. Chainsaws, Onewheels, Tools...Everyone loves that stuff, right? lol

@lemur I did think it was odd to immediately go all in over the settings especially when this is a DIY build but since it ships with something by default I'd be myth'd still.

TBH assuming I didn't just go for a dumb BMS I'd instead not ship these with settings and avoid the headache of people not liking what was set from factory.

The squirrels are much better at burying and germinating black walnuts than I am, so when mowing I watch for the fresh seedlings coming up, then transplant them to where I want them. Of course, those I found last night were sprouting in the gravel soil by the road -- so, I made several Onewheel trips with shovel and bucket to transplant them to the avenue. And then, watering the seedlings and young trees by dribbling irrigation from a tank of pond water, I time it by Onewheel passes up and back on the quarter mile of grass.

With that amount of rust I would think the coating is already gone. Muriatic acid is the first that came to mind for copper corrosion but removing iron rust from the magnets could be as simple as white vinegar.

Either way, it looks like a new coating is in order. If you just scrape it off, it'll come back.

@onedangt OH, I meant to write "18MPH". But, I only get 20Miles/charge also. It's my area (hilly), weight, and speed. My max ever distance on my CBXR is 24 Miles.

I come from labour working class where not much of wealth is inherited and plenty of alike slowly diminish their few existing goals and blurry their dreams with other habits. So... close people and some of not-so-close but yet seen me growing within past 20-30yrs are like: What? .. okay .. at least he's not drinking, smoking and burning life.

My hyper-active local sports legend 77y mother is rather cool about it - she knows I've always been into "unordinary" tech stuff.

I got tons of colleagues and .. idk how .. I've not necessarily tried to keep it as a secret nor avoid contacts while on OW, but somehow I've managed to hold a low profile about it. Some few know by randomly bumping into (and were astounded, obviously) but the real blabbermouths likely have no idea. The thrill would be real at some. As commuting to work on 4-wheels is my occupational unavoidable routine, I'm liking this unawareness till it lasts. But this is only my second season on XR.

Out of all forum members here I might(?) be at the easternmost point [The Baltics]. Don't know. But you guys can imagine - there's no way you could go for ~1h ride here without feeling inquiring looks or hearing comments at any age group. Probably we have less onewheels than any state of US. Registrated, organized grouprides are not happening around here. :)

@hanahsdax I see Angus sometimes on reddit so he's still around. Not sure about @stinkyface though :(

Well, I finally updated the Onewheel app on my phone -- and yes, it is satisfying to see the status of several boards: On my V1 I am numbers 2 and 4; on my Leaderboard Plus I am numbers 3 and 8; and the OneDanXR is number 93 -- logged mostly by OneDan, and my sixty-five day streak with the OneDanXR is at number 96. We are supposed to have our first good rain here in about that many days -- so my streaks might end, unless there is a weather break sometime tomorrow.

Aah, what a relief!!! - It`s working again!
Not just widget but this f'ing picky og FM app in general.

In agony trying to solve things a ~month ago I ended up re-installing the whole thing ... by proceeding so, got this "Online activation failed" popup again as on the day I got my board.
(I don`t quite remember being so mad at myself in near past. - Should have left alone the widget convenience if only the app continues to function by syncing the phone and board.)

Most likely I should put down everything the other day without overflowing emotions. In case it helps anyone. Most likely none in the same boat in this forum. But reddit has numerous discussions about "activation failed / connection error" ... and none of those worked out for me.
The most last thing left to do was to factory-reset the phone. Luckly I didn't got to that point.
