@lemur every time i find myself thinking of a GT, i see stuff like this that just makes me cringe. i know im not the type to thrash these things like others but it just screams 'low quality' to me. id need a new rim, tire, rails, plus those clips for the plugs just to make it nice... makes floatwheel look really good by comparison.

@puzz360 If you do open it again take a pic of the driver area. Might be worth checking the physical state if the inductors near the connectors on the reverse side.

@koryzory I'm not too sure where best to get one nearby but if shipping isn't a huge deal I'd recommend reaching out to one of the 3rd party repair shops in the USA to see if any have a BMS they could send out.

I don't like carrying around umbrellas since I find them to be a hassle to carry, and I often end up just throwing on rain gear and calling it a day.

Fixed the hot point. As i was expecting, that issue had no relation with the no-power issue. I measured V on the big mosfets next to the batt connectors. There is no V. However, i have V on the other smaller ones. I’m thinking that maybe they are not receiving anything on the gate terminal. I followed the gate track and looks like that are going to those sOT-23 thingies which i guess are transistors. Looks like those are OK but i do not know who is sending the triggering/gate signal. Do you guys have any guess/recommendation?

I feel bad for the LED strip getting messed up.

@lia So turns out I had two hub bolts that weren't too tight.

Tightened those suckers up and I'll check on it tomorrow. Hopefully all of the ice should have melted and I'll get to go back outside and start riding again :)

@s-leon understood! I'm very hard on my eqquipment, so I try my best to kind of everything-proof my stuff. I do use my OW as a way to relieve stress and do plan on riding in the rain

I ACTUALLY am buying a helmet, though I'm going to be doing special with it :)

As was the case with yours the purple wire is severed somewhere deep in the guts of the insulation so looks like we'll be doing the same surgery.

That scrollsaw was only £40 secondhand on eBay if you want to get something like that, super useful but a bit tricky to control since the blades are super flexible lol.

@loaffette The vega is pretty tough tbh, it’s a real thick bit of rubber, great for durability. Mine did just over 7000km before I swapped it out. Ride is nicer on rounder tires though so when you want some buttery carving it’s like the #1 thing to change.

You joke but my Whisper got some tire patches and worked okay. Will admit it felt proper cursed 😅
