      This happened to me also.
It wore a groove in the tire, but did not bring me to a stop.
The wood branch was scorched from the heat.

      @puzz360
As of January 7, I had a day streak of 266 days on my GT. At that point I was #13.
On January 8, it said ‘no day streak’,
I did contact FM, with data, and screenshots, of the rides. We went back and forth, ultimately they basically said ‘sorry for your loss’.
I have a great story about the extraordinary effort I went through to keep the streak alive, and have not missed a day since taking delivery of the board.
I haven’t figured out, or maybe don’t have the patience to learn how to post photos or videos yet. At any rate, I was in a remote area, but the previous two days did basically the same ride, and those were accepted. As disappointing as it was, it’s their world, their rules.
I have not missed a day of riding, and have now ridden an additional 39 days, it has me as #76 now.

Here’s a snapping turtle, mid to small size compared to some I’ve seen recently.

@lia Congratulations on such a long continuous streak! It’s disappointing when connectivity is the issue that breaks a streak.
I feel like the new guy, the GT being my first Onewheel. I had a day streak of 266 days, and lost it due to bad connectivity. As it went, I was on an ice fishing trip in the frozen north. I took my GT along, only to realize the only possible place to ride was on the snow plowed runway that the single engine aircraft landed on. This was ON the frozen lake! 30” of ice, with crunchy snow on top, was my only option to ride. I did ride just 2 miles a day, for three consecutive days in an effort to keep that streak going. On the third day, my streak did not record.
(I waited for the ‘heat of the day’ a whopping 14 degrees F, to ride.)
I continued to ride every day, and am now at an additional 244 days. So I have ridden every day since I first took delivery of my GT for a total of 510 days. That said, I am planning to liberate myself from the streak intensionally.
Let’s continue to celebrate with those who continue the day streaks, while enjoying the freedom of letting it go!
      All the best,
      Doug

Congratulations on joining the Onewheel community. You have made a fine choice.
Just ease into it, no heroics, the skill set will improve with time on the board.
I started riding at 68 years of age, and am currently 70. I ride every day, and enjoy every mile.
      Be safe my friend!

@Lia I’m new here, and want to thank you for your effort in putting this all together, great work!
As far as cold weather riding goes, I’m no stranger. Yesterday I rode 30 miles in 17 degree F temperatures. Fortunately the wind was only 10 mph , and very little ice left on the pavement areas.
Keep up the great work, and thanks again,
      Doug

@HanahsDax I noticed earlier today that you hold positions on two leaderboards for day streaks.
Congratulations! I’m sure you’ve seen your share of weather events to keep that going.
It wasn’t that long ago that we were side by side on the GT mileage leaderboard.
Be safe out there, hopefully we will cross paths one day!

Hahaha! No, the board is high and dry, there was too much vegetation in the way to get the board in the photo.
