I use this method to discharge spare batteries for shipment or storage.<br />
The 110v 100 watt incandescent bulb gets hot so rest it on a non flammable surface or change the  plug  on a desk lamp to an xt60.<br />
Don't discharge under 3v per cell, although there are many opinions out there.<br />
I'm not sure how Euro 220v bulbs will work though.<br />
