<![CDATA[Help XR ERROR 16]]>I’m getting error 16 on XR. I have replaced the harness and still receiving error 16. Not sure what my next step should be. Any advice ?

Assuming U17 on the controller side is broken then an Owie chip won't change anything sadly.

If you need someone to take a look at this Justin over at https://www.fixmypev.com/ has dealt with some of these in the past and offers repair so in the worst case he should be able to perform a repair.

On the controller side it's marked u17 and on the BMS it's IC5 beside the smaller of the white connectors.

You can replace these. I would suggest the one controller side has likely gone as I've not personally seen it occur the other end. I documented a repair in the below archived topic if it helps.

On retrospection knowing what I do now I had issues replacing the chip because my iron was probably too hot and damaging the replacements but after going through a few I got it working by swapping U17. Either of the below should work but if you know which you're actually have then try source that one specifically to ensure interoperability. FM changed supplier between revisions.
